She is a Cosplayer, a artist and a D 20 Girl. So let’s just say…she is a somewhat busy girl. Emerii is an amazing Cosplayer, who still continues to have fun. Hitting conventions and tackling any Cosplays that catches her attention, she does something that every Cosplayer needs to remember. ENJOY YOURSELF. With that being said, I welcome her to the CCU hot seat.
Jack Nickelz: So tell us what first got you started in Cosplay?
Emerii: I started Cosplaying in 2012. My friend told me about the hobby and I stuck with this hobby since it’s a lot of fun.
Jack Nickelz: What was your first Cosplay outfit?
Emerii: My first Cosplay outfit was Fluttershy from My Little Pony; Friendship is Magic. It was a simple yellow dress with her cutie marks on it.
Jack Nickelz: How was it going to a convention in full gear?
Emerii: It’s sometimes, really awesome and then it can be really troublesome. Mainly if I have wings with my Cosplay, since I’m very clumsy and can bump into people.
Jack Nickelz: What has been some of your fav. Cosplays to do?
Emerii: The Cosplays I love doing are Fluttershy and Hatsune Mike since I can Cosplay many different versions and different outfits!
Jack Nickelz: Do you have a Cosplay that you are becoming known for?
Emerii: I’m more known for my Fluttershy than anything else I’ve done.
Jack Nickelz: How do you pick which Cosplay to do?
Emerii: It all varies. I have to know the character or do some research on them before Cosplaying them so I can be in character when it calls for it. I normally pick characters that I have some things in common with or characters that would be super fun to do.
Jack Nickelz: How long does it normally take you to do a Cosplay?
Emerii: Around a week to a couple of months, depending on the detail and planning of it
Jack Nickelz: What’s the hardest Cosplay that you have had to do?
Emerii: The hardest Cosplay I think I’m making would be Zygarde, the legendary Pokémon from Pokémon X and Y. I’ve been off and on. I hope to get it done soon!
Jack Nickelz: Who are some of the Cosplayers that you admire?
Emerii: I admire so many Cosplayers! I really admire Cosplayers like Yaya Han, Jessica Nigri, Kamui Cosplay, and some other well known Cosplayers, as well as local Cosplayers around me. They inspire me so much!
Jack Nickelz: Are there any Cosplays that you wouldn’t do because they are too revealing?
Emerii: I don’t think I would ever do Felicia from Darkstalkers or any of the Junketsu’s from Kill La Kill. I do applaud people who do it since I don’t think I could be able to pull it off.
Jack Nickelz: So would you ever consider seriously getting into modeling?
Emerii: I’ve had a lot of people say that I should go into modeling. I might go into it once I figure how.
Jack Nickelz: What types of modeling could you see yourself doing?
Emerii: I can see myself doing really artsy modeling and fashion. Or both. I love to be different from the norm.
Jack Nickelz: Are you shocked at the reaction you get from fans and Cosplayers?
Emerii: Yes. I’ve never had so many people support me in what I do and it’s a great feeling to know that I inspire people! I hope to keep inspiring more people with Cosplay.
Jack Nickelz: What future Cosplays can we expect to see from you this year?
Emerii: Aphrodite from Smite, hopefully Zygarde, some secret Cosplays here and there, and possibly Snow White.
Jack Nickelz: Thank you for taking time out to do this. Is there anything else you would like to say to the fans?
Emerii: Thank you for interviewing me! And I would like to say that, the fans are just awesome! Thank you for being amazing and supportive!
